At least 16 people were killed over the weekend by flash floods and a landslip that swept through four districts of Indonesia’s Sumatra island, according to the country’s disaster agency.
In a statement released on Monday, Abdul Muhari, the spokesperson for the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB), stated that 16 people had died and seven more were missing.
