Registration for Newly Admitted UTME and Direct Entry Candidates at UNILAG (2024/2025 Session)
All newly admitted UTME and Direct Entry candidates are required to report for registration between Monday, December 2 and Friday, December 20, 2024, and Monday, January 6 to Friday, January 24, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. following the outlined registration procedures. The necessary documents and steps for registration are detailed below:
STAGE 1: Registration Schedule/Appointment
- Book Registration Appointment:
- Visit http://studentportal.unilag.edu.ng/ and follow the procedure to select your preferred registration date.
- Log in using your JAMB Number/Application Number as the username and your surname (in lowercase) as the password.
- Change your password upon login.
- Navigate to the “Appointment” section, select “New Appointment,” and choose the date and session for your appointment.
- After scheduling, you will receive a confirmation message on the portal, and you can print your appointment/booking slip.
Important: Candidates must bring their appointment/booking slip to the registration venue.
STAGE 2: Uploading of Documents
- Log in to the UNILAG Student Portal using your JAMB/Application Number and surname (lowercase) as the password.
- Fill out the bio-data form and print the screening form.
- Documents to Upload (Original copies):
- JAMB Admission Letter
- O’Level Results
- Secondary School Testimonial
- Previous Degree Certificate (Direct Entry candidates only)
- Birth Certificate
- Letter of Reference (from a reputable Clergyman/Imam/Lawyer/Senior Civil Servant)
- State of Origin Certificate
STAGE 3: Screening
- Report to the registration venue on your scheduled date.
- Submit two (2) copies of the following documents to the registration officer:
- Screening Form (colored and photocopy)
- UNILAG Online Application Form (Direct Entry candidates only)
- JAMB Acknowledgement Slip (Direct Entry candidates only)
- JAMB Admission Letter (colored and photocopy)
- UTME Result Slip (for UTME candidates)
- POST-UTME Result Slip
- JUPEB/A-LEVEL/OND/HND/BSc. Results (Direct Entry candidates only)
- O’Level Result Certificate (original, no online versions accepted)
- Letter of Reference (original)
- Birth Certificate (photocopies)
- Secondary School Testimonial (photocopies)
- State of Origin Certificate (photocopies)
- 12 Passport Photographs (write full names on the reverse side)
Note: Bring the original copies of all credentials for verification.
STAGE 4: Payment of Fees
- Generate Payment Advice 24 hours after completing Stage 3.
- Proceed to any bank to make the required payment.
STAGE 5: Faculty/Departmental Registration
- Proceed to your Faculty and Department for further registration.
Important Notices:
- Impersonation: Any candidate found guilty will forfeit their admission and may face legal consequences.
- Drug Use: The University enforces a zero-tolerance policy. A compulsory drug test will be conducted for all newly admitted students. Those who test positive or fail to take the test will have their admission withdrawn.
- The dates for the Matriculation Ceremony and Orientation Program will be announced by the University.
