The news of the stampede in three different states had spread around like wildfire causing the whole nationto tremble in fear and terror. People’s Democratic Party(PDP) expressed their views on this.
PDP spokesman Honourable Debo Ologunga, the National Public Secretary spoke about this today in a statement issued in Abuja . He sympathised with the family of those who suffered the loss.

“It is heartbreaking that despite our abundant resources as a nation, Nigerians have been subjected to agonizing life where they die struggling for food.”
The party also advices the ruling party to take actions in their words they said, “arrogant false performance claims including empty assurances of food sufficiency while deliberately failing to make the required investments to boost the productive sector, particularly in agriculture and food production”.
He also said this government should, “review the hasty implementation of the suffocating policies of abrupt increase in the price of petroleum products and the floating of the Naira, despite the crippling consequences on the productive sector and life-discounting effect on the citizenry”.
“Our Party insists that any administration that is sensitive and cares for the people would have since introduced intervention programmes to ease the suffering and improve on the welfare of the masses which is the primary purpose of government,” the PDP said.
The party expressed their sympathy with Governor Seyi and the people of Oyo over the death of the children. Governor Seyi Makinde was also applauded for the initiative he took by taking the children for medical attention and by so doing saving lives.
