It is sad time at Osun State. Osun State is going through a time of mourning due to the loss of the councillorship candidate for Ward 01, Oloba/Atapara, Ede North, Dauda Nurein on Tuesday.
His death was announced in a post made by Senior Special Assistant to the Osun Governor, Bureau of Social Services, Akintunde Bello Sheriff.
Bello Sheriff expressed his grief and consoles the relative of the dead in His message. His post also revealed that Dauda Nurein died as a result of brief illness.
Dauda Nurein was set to participate in the local government election that was to take place on February 22. He was a candidate for Ward 01, Oloba/Atapara, Ede North.
Just a month ago, Adekola Raji Habeeb said this on his X account.
Hon Dauda Nurein a PDP member from Isokan ward 7,led some of his associates in PDP to APC today at APC OSUN WEST SENATORIAL DISTRICT meeting in ISOKAN.

What is in life really? If you go to school you have an idea of when you will finish. If you are on the pitch, there is a maximum duration that you can play. Even if you get employed; you have an understanding of your retirement period. But when you have come into the sinful world; you just get on hustling and you can not know if you will live long or die prematurely. The Councillor waiting to be elected in my Ward bided the world a farewell this afternoon after a very brief illness. We grew up together in the neighbourhood but Nureni is now gone. We were all assembled last at the house of our Brother Olugbenga Akanfe during new year for festivities and it didn’t occur that Nurein’s time was winding down on earth. Nurudeen Ademola Taoheed Samorano , Abisade Kamal, Alabama, Sulaiman Adeniran, and everybody were gathered on the same table that night without an inkling that Olobe will not last. A true Follower in the Akinleye School of Thoughts is no more. I commiserate with his Parents and Family. Olobe saw his glory ahead but was timid and shyful to behold it. This is a devastating news for the PDP Family of Ede North. May God preserve the rest of us. Goodnight forever Olobe Dauda Nurein. May Allah be pleased with your soul.
