It has been a year and few months since the loss of one of Nigeria’s talented musician Ilerieoluwa Oladimeji Aloba popularly known as Mohbad.
The loss of one’s child is one of the most traumatising events. The loss of hope and overwhelming emotions are unquantifiable. The statement” The death of Mohbad has made my life better” has raised eyebrows. Let’s get into it.
Mohbad’s father had an interview with a media personality, Akin Abolade, popularly known as Mrlilgaga, on Wednesday.
Joseph Aloba, Mohbad’s father revealed that his son’s death has made his undergo an interesting turn.
“Let me just say yes, my life got better after Mohbad’s death because he is my friend. He had it in plan to do many things for me but they didn’t allow him to do them. After his death, it was the spirit of Mohbad, and that of God combined together that began to send people to assist me,” he said.
He also spoke about the gifts that compassionate and empathetic Nigerian gave him after hearing the news.
“Even the car and everything I have now, it was people that gave them to me and it is beyond ordinary. So it is the spirit of Mohbad and God that led those people to give me all I have now,” he added.
He shared that his Son’s wife and family has taken full control of Mohbad’s property
“They did a lot concerning that boy (Mohbad). All his landed property is in their possession. Even the land he bought for me to build a church, I forced him to buy and mould the blocks on it, which was later used to bury him,” he said.
Joseph Aloba recalled Mohbad’s plan to buy him a house. He also spoke of Mohbad involvement in his music career. Mohbad joined his father at an early age of 1 where he had to serve as backup for his father.
