Soldiers on Wednesday, August 7, gunned down two suspected bandits informants in Kurmin-Kare village in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Politics Nigeria reports that the soldiers also recovered a motorcycle and drugs from the suspects.

One of the community leaders who pleaded anonymity said that the incidents took place at about 9 am when the troops who rode on motorcycles trailed the two suspects.

According to the community leaders, the troops have been on the trail of the suspects for a long time but they will always escape.

He said, “It had been long that the troops had been trailing the two suspects as they always escaped whenever the troops got information of their location, until this morning, while on their way to the SCC village market on a motorcycle when they encountered the troops.”

Confirming the incident, a member of the vigilante group in the area who identified himself as Dahiru said the bandits informants usually moved from Kagarko to Katar.

Dahiru also noted that sometimes, the suspect would move to Jere and the SCC village markets to give the bandits information on people, especially herders who came to sell their cows.
