This October, Kwara’s Sugar Factory Film Studio will launch its innovative ‘Dancinematic Universe’, which will transform the Nigerian entertainment landscape.

This groundbreaking series will combine the vibrant energy of music videos with the cinematic flair of feature films to create captivating dance storytelling.

Starting with a pilot project called “The Big Bang,” this initiative promises to create a unique and immersive world through a transmedia storytelling approach, according to Creative Director Tunde Ayinla, also known as StylSlayer.

This initiative seeks to establish Sugar Factory Film Studios as a pioneering hub for intellectual properties and brands, leveraging the exciting fusion of product placement and branded content,” Ayinla stated.

He emphasized that this approach is inspired by successful international franchises such as The Boys and Deadpool, but with a unique level of immersion that distinguishes it in Nigeria.

Ayinla conveyed his appreciation to Kwara Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for his forward-thinking backing of the state’s creative sector, which is gaining traction following the news that Kwara will play host to the 2024 BON Awards, which will bring close to 500 business professionals to Ilorin.

This prestigious event will take place at the iconic Sugar Factory Film Studios, a significant project under the Abdulrazaq administration.

According to Ayinla, “The Big Bang project is the first chapter in the Dancinematic Universe, creating an unmatched market space within the Nigerian entertainment sector.”

“This original musical fantasy short film follows the journey of a young creative envisioning a ground-breaking entertainment concept. It is inspired by a true story of renewed hope and combines dance, music, and cinematic storytelling.”

The Dancinematic Universe intends to set itself apart in the cutthroat Nigerian entertainment scene with audacious revenue projections of N5.4 billion during its first peak.

Additionally, the initiative is anticipated to create thousands of jobs for youth, especially in Kwara, thereby promoting the growth of the creative sector.
