Kanunta, brother of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has criticized Southeast politicians in response to freedom fighter Sunday Igboho’s petition for the Yoruba Nation, which was submitted to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer.

He stated that Igboho submitted the petition for the Yoruba Nation to the UK Prime Minister without any threats.

Kanunta lamented that, while Igboho is advocating for Yoruba Nation, Southeast politicians are busy kidnapping “Biafran youths” in collaboration with the Nigerian Army and the Department of State Services (DSS).

He wrote on X, “Sunday Igboho Submits Petition To UK Prime Minister To Consider ‘Yoruba Nation’ Agitation Without Threat.”

“But South East politicians are busy kidnapping “Biafran youths” in collaboration with @HQNigerianArmy and @OfficialDSSNG to demand the same.” #FreeMaziNnamdiKanuNow.”

Igboho had petitioned Starmer to consider creating the Yoruba nation.

According to reports, Igboho submitted the petition on behalf of Prof Adebanji Akintoye, the Yoruba Nation movement’s leader.

The movement is requesting immediate intervention from the UK prime minister and his government in their efforts to establish a country primarily owned by Yorubas.
