The Federal Government on Wednesday dropped the money laundering charges filed against Tigran Gambaryan, an executive of Binance Holdings Limited.
Gambaryan, Binance’s U.S. head of financial crime compliance, along with the exchange’s British-Kenyan regional manager for Africa, Nadeem Anjarwalla, had been facing charges brought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) involving $35 million in money laundering allegations.
Anjarwalla escaped from lawful custody on March 22, 2024, while Gambaryan was arraigned in April and subsequently ordered to be remanded at Kuje Correctional Facility.
