The violent nationwide rallies against hunger and hardship in Kano State have been linked to the detention and ongoing investigation of seven Polish nationals, as revealed by the Department of State Service (DSS). During a meeting on Wednesday with members of the diplomatic corps and Yusuf Tuggar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, DSS Spokesperson Peter Afunanya revealed this. In an interview, Afunanya revealed that the reason the people were arrested was because they had flown foreign flags in the North-West during the demonstrations. He stressed that the arrests were a part of larger measures to keep the peace and look into the circumstances underlying the protests, not a deliberate attempt to target Polish nationals.

All Of The Southport Attack’s Treated Youngsters At Alder Hey Were Released
According to the hospital, every child who was hurt in the Southport Attack and brought to Alder Hey Children's Hospital has been released. Following the attack on July 29 at a vacation club with a Taylor Swift theme at The Hart Space community centre, three children lost their lives. The victims of the knife attack, Bebe King, six, Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, and nine-year old Alice Dasilva Aguiar, were identified in public. Following the incident, three more children were reported injured and five more were left in critical condition. There were also two adult hospitalisations. Alder Hey stated in a statement on Tuesday that it was "really pleased" to report that individuals "who were under our care have now been safely discharged home from Alder Hey." They received treatment in hospitals throughout Liverpool and Manchester. We would like to take this time to express our gratitude to everyone who helped with the incident response or provided care for individuals who were impacted, notably our colleagues in the North West Ambulance Service, Merseyside Police, and NHS. "We also want to say thank you to all who sent well-wishes to Alder Hey and the families affected," they stated. "Our heartfelt sympathies remain with all those impacted by last week's tragic events."
Rapper T.I. Was Detained At An Atlanta Airport In Connection With An Identity Theft Case
In an incident involving mistaken identity, rapper T.I. was brought into custody at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Airport on Sunday night. Another guy, T.I.'s real name Clifford Harris, was wanted in Baltimore, Maryland, and a warrant had been issued for his arrest. The guy is wanted on suspicion of stalking, using a gun, and acting violently towards a woman. T.I. was transported to Clayton County Jail from the airport. The arrest automatically resulted in an extradition hearing because the warrant was issued outside of the state. After speaking with the Clayton County Sheriff's Office over the phone, T.I.'s lawyer, Steve Sadow, told TMZ that his client was freed from custody two hours after being taken into custody.
