Hauwa’u Adamu, the 75-year-old mother of popular All Progressives Congress (APC) praise singer Dauda Kahutu Rarara, has been freed by the bandits who kidnapped her.
Hauwa’u was abducted from her residence on June 28, 2024, in Kahutu village of Danja local government area of Katsina State, causing concern among the musician’s fans and the local community.
The kidnappers initially demanded a ransom of N900 million from the singer. However, a recent TikTok video posted by Rarara shows him reunited with his mother. In the video’s caption, Rarara expressed profound gratitude for her safe return and thanked everyone who supported him during the ordeal.
Despite the joyous news of her release, details regarding her release and whether ransom was paid remain unclear at this time. Local authorities and security agencies have yet to provide additional information on the circumstances surrounding her release.
