Controversial crossdresser Okuneye Idris, popularly known as Bobrisky, is currently being held at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex in Alagbon, Lagos, where he spent the night in detention. A source confirmed that Bobrisky was taken to the FCID after his arrest by Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) officials while attempting to leave the country via the Seme border. The source added that he was brought to the FCID for safekeeping as further directives on his case are awaited.
The source explained, “Bobrisky arrived at FCID Alagbon around 10 p.m. on Monday following his arrest at the Seme border. He is still in detention at the facility.”
The FCID spokesperson, Mayegun Aminat, also confirmed Bobrisky’s detention, noting that they were working to secure a remand order to keep him in custody. The NIS spokesperson, Kenneth Udo, had earlier identified Okuneye as a person of interest over public concerns and emphasized that the arrest was in line with efforts to secure Nigeria’s borders. Udo mentioned that Bobrisky is currently undergoing interrogation and will be handed over to relevant authorities for further actions.
