Olayinka Oladimeji, son of the late Honourable Akintola Oladimeji, who represented the Akinyele/Lagelu federal constituency, has announced his intention to run for the governorship of Oyo State. He pledged to build upon the agricultural development strategies established by the current governor, Seyi Makinde, if elected.

Oladimeji emphasized the importance of agriculture in his development agenda, stating, “Agriculture is crucial to the economy and must receive special attention. Governor Seyi Makinde has made commendable progress in this area, and I am committed to further supporting farmers to boost productivity and achieve food sufficiency in Oyo State, the South-West region, and Nigeria as a whole.”
