President Tinubu had come under heavy fire for what many saw as the extravagant lifestyle of public servants in the face of dire economic circumstances made worse by the removal of fuel subsidies and the floating of the naira.Tinubu limited ministerial convoys to three vehicles on Thursday in an effort to lower the expense of governance. The Nigerian leader should do more, according to the political movement League of Northern Democrats, despite this action.“Look, leadership is all about inspiration. It’s not an inverted pyramid. The group’s spokesperson, Ladan Salihu, stated on Friday’s edition of Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, “You must demonstrate the best of examples by your ways and actions.”

“You cannot save money by purchasing a yacht for five billion dollars and a presidential jet for 170 billion at the going rate. That amounts to nearly half of these costs when combined. Therefore, it is only symbolic.

It Won’t Happen’New guidelines for lowering the cost of governance are issued by President Bola Tinubu.

Nigerians have been debating Tinubu’s directive to the ministers ever since. The president sees it as an effort to set a good example.Salihu, however, has expressed doubts about the measure’s execution and is not hopeful about it.”As a journalist, I will ask you, ‘What about the remaining vehicles?'” he said when he stated that the ministerial vehicles had been reduced to three.

Where will they be kept in storage? Will they be stored in the garage? The cars are already out there. They have been purchased. This implies that I will keep seven of my ten cars if I am a minister.According to the group’s spokesperson, “I do not think we are going to witness a significant shift in the convoys that ministers have.””A minister’s convoy of three cars is not something you should expect to see. It will not happen. “We are just deluding ourselves if someone tells me it will happen; if someone tells you it will happen,” he said.
