Anugbum Onuoha, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for Edo State, has assured voters that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is fully prepared for the upcoming Edo Governorship Election on September 21, 2024.

He confirmed that INEC has trained operators on the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS), which will play a key role in ensuring the credibility of the election process.
Onuoha emphasized that the election results will be transmitted electronically, allowing for transparency and real-time reporting. The BVAS system will also be used to accurately capture and verify the number of voters at each polling unit. He expressed confidence in the integrity of the process, stating, “We will conduct an election we can truly call our own”.
