Edun Meets With Lokpobiri, Kyari, And NNPCL Concerning Naira Crude Sales

The Minister of Finance, Wale Edun, has met with key stakeholders withinside the oil and fueloline industry, following President Bola Tinubu’s directive for the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL), to promote crude oil to nearby refineries in naira.

Those in attendance blanketed the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPCL, Mele Kyari, Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, Dr Zacch Adedeji, and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Lydia Jafiya.

Disclosing this in a publish on its authentic X page, the Finance Ministry stated the assembly became hung on Monday in Abuja.

It said that the initiative is supposed to reinforce the home financial system and guide the sustainable operations of nearby refineries, consisting of the Dangote Refinery.

“On Monday, the Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, led a key assembly aimed toward imposing President Tinubu’s directive for the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited to promote crude oil to nearby refineries in Naira,” the publish read.

“This initiative is supposed to reinforce the home financial system and guide the sustainable operations of nearby refineries, consisting of the Dangote Refinery.
