FG Raises Passport Cost For Nigerians

The Federal Government has authorized an increase in passport fees, effective from September 1, 2024. This adjustment will help support and enhance the services provided to citizens.

The Nigeria Immigration Service has made changes to passport fees: The 32-page, 5-year validity booklet fee has been raised from N35,000.00 to N50,000.00, and the 64-page, 10-year validity booklet fee has increased from N70,000.00 to N100,000.00.

According to the statement, the fees remain unchanged in Diaspora.

“While the Nigeria Immigration Service regrets any inconvenience this increase might cause prospective applicants; it assures Nigerians of unwavering commitment to transparency and quality service delivery at all times.” the statement reads in part
