Nineteen travellers were killed in an automobile accident at Hawan Kibo in the Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State on Tuesday, including five Nigerian Air Force (NAF) personnel.

In a statement, NAF spokesman Olusola Akinboyewa said, “The unfortunate incident occurred around Hawan Kibo along the Jos-Akwanga Express Road.””Our employees were travelling to Abuja for a sporting event when their car collided with an approaching truck.”In order to offer consolation and support to the families who have lost a loved one, the NAF has activated the statutory administrative procedures that apply in situations like this.Another report from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) described the accident. According to the Corps, the driver and all 18 passengers were killed when the 18-passenger Hiace bus travelling from Yola through Jos to Abuja collided with a stationary articulated vehicle on the highway.

All passengers perished in the terrible accident, according to Peter Longsan, a spokesman for the state’s FRSC, who spoke on the phone with Channels Television.According to Longsan, the accident was caused by excessive speed, which caused the bus to collide with the articulated vehicle and kill everyone inside.According to him, the manifest that was found inside the car showed that the driver of the unfortunate car was accompanied by eighteen other passengers.

He claims that the remains of the victims have been interred in a mortuary and that FRSC personnel have cleared the vehicle wreckage from the highway. in perfect peace.
