The All Progressives Congress (APC) has refuted claims made by Senate Chief Whip, Ali Ndume, that President Bola Tinubu is isolated within the Presidential Villa and detached from the hardships faced by Nigerians.
APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, suggested that Ndume’s frustration stems from his inability to gain unrestricted access to President Tinubu. Ndume had accused the President of being inaccessible to ministers and members of the National Assembly, implying that Tinubu was being shielded from his officials.
In response, Morka pointed out that Ndume has full access to the Federal Government’s resources, which he has not utilized. Morka stated, “It is understandable if Senator Ndume feels frustrated by his suggested inability to access the President. But that does not warrant or justify his outlandish declaration that the President has been caged in some way or ensconced from the reality of conditions in the country.”
He added that Ndume’s comments reflect an undue sense of entitlement to see the President at will. Morka emphasized that President Tinubu is dedicated to his duties, meeting regularly with various citizens, officials, and guests as his schedule allows.
