Remember what I said yesterday about being too into the story that I forget to look for what needs improvement in the movie. Today, I have an opposite reaction to the movie I just watched.
I don’t know the in and out of making YouTube movies but at this point I feel like my eyes would pop out if I roll my eyes again because these movies. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love some movies there but others…..
Let’s dive in. I just watched Heart in Motion and I have a few things to say.
First, I have a preposition for movie producers. I am talking about an idea that I would love to watch them bring to life. How about a movie where a lady has an accident and of course like it is expected a rich dude swoops in to save her.
Now hear me out here is the twist, she is not falling in Love with the dude. Instead the viewers of the movie are allowed the luxury if enjoying a wonderful friendship between a Knight in shining armour and his damsel in distress. Let it be clearly seen that they love each other’s company but has no intention of being in a romantic relationship. We can addd a twist to it by making it feel like the accident victim likes the guy but let it be obvious at the end that she doesn’t. I just want a nice guy helpess girl with no strings attached. Yeah, I almost forgot this little detail, the male main Character has a girlfriend and she is going no where.
As I watched this movie, I couldn’t help but cringe and the all so familiar storyline. The movie is about a young lady who lost her mother and was on her way to return the drugs she bought when she had an accident. The driver of the car, Declan rush to save her and takes her to the hospital. He learns she has to be on wheelchair and was in shock. He takes her home and cares for her. Mind you, he totally forgot to tell his girlfriend all of this.
Don’t let me spoil the movie by telling you all the details. The girlfriend, Ivy gets influenced by her friend and she made bad decisions like taking the accident Victim, Nora to the street to beg for money. Her actions are revealed and boom, the epic breakup.
Now while I am no judge, I just feel weird when relationship of months are thrown away by partner’s error. Come on, I agree with you that the girlfriend should not have done what she did. But I am uncomfortable about how quick the guy breaks a 12 month relationship and appear unaffected.
Not surprisingly, he and Nora have a good relationship. They’re seen laughing and bonding. Feelings and butterflies are evidently moving around the air. You know how the story would end. If you don’t, you might wanna check it out.
The visuals of this movie is pleasing to the eyes which helps viewers stay glued. The cast did their best, but I feel like you knew there was a but. I did not really see the chemistry between the lovebirds. I felt some of their lines were forced and unnecessarily cheesy. It was definitely predictable. I would rate this movie a 5 out of ten.
Mind you my ratings are not superior. I do believe movie review is subjective to the viewers perspective. You can check the movie out at Uchenna Mbunabo and tell me what you think.
