The board addressed candidates concerning registration for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and Direct Entry.
The board had earlier informed candidate on a change of the novel. The novel that would be used this year is The Lekki Headmaster by Karbi Alabi Garba, a change from last year’s “Life Changer”. The following was their statement.
“Attention prospective 2025 UTME candidates! This is to inform you that The Lekki Headmaster by Kabir Alabi Garba has been approved as the reading text for the Use of English. Details on the UTME/DE registration shall be released shortly. Kindly be on the lookout for updates”
Concerning the year’s registration, the board advises candidate to get NIN ready before regulation commences. The board gave information on registration.
Attention prospective 2025 UTME/DE candidates! Kindly note that registration has not commenced. However, details on the exercise would be announced soon.
“You can get your NIN ahead and a phone number that has not been previously used to register on our platform to generate your profile code prior the time.”
The board also advise candidate not to lose the phone number they want to register with.
“The card is your unique identifier with the Board and must not get lost at any point in time. Peradventure that happens, you should retrieve it as soon as possible because it cannot be replaced thereafter”
“Please ensure that the phone number you’ll be using belongs to someone very close to you (father or mother, if you’re below 18 years) to make retrieval easier in case of damage or loss of the SIM card.
To generate your profile, get your NIN from the NIMC. Use a retrievable phone number that has not been used before on our platform to type NIN in capital letter, leave a space, then, the actual NIN and send to either 55019 or 66019. eg. NIN 23456789012 send to 55019 or 66019.”
