Billionaire Elon Musk said on Saturday that anyone who signs his online petition in favour of the US Constitution will receive $1 million every day until the election in November.Without much delay, he showed his commitment to the cause by giving a $1 million cheque to a Pennsylvanian who attended one of his events to encourage supporters of Republican Donald Trump. Employees at the event reported that a man by the name of John Dreher had won.”By the way, John had no idea. So anyway, you’re welcome,” the Tesla founder said as he handed Dreher the check.

The money is the most recent instance of Musk attempting to sway the fiercely competitive presidential contest between Trump and Democratic opponent Kamala Harris through his extraordinary wealth.Musk established the political action group America PAC in order to aid Trump’s presidential campaign. While there are indications the group is struggling to meet its objectives, it is still assisting in voter registration and mobilisation in battleground states.

At his third appearance in Pennsylvania in as many days, Musk is presenting the November election in stark terms, urging supporters to cast their ballots early and persuade others to do the same in Harrisburg.Insinuating that the United States will cease to exist if Harris prevails, he declared on Saturday that this will be “the last election.”Additionally, he claimed that Trump’s two assassination attempts demonstrate that he is stirring up controversy and challenging the status quo in ways that Harris cannot. That is why nobody is attempting to kill Harris, he said.

Musk stated, “Assassinating a puppet is worthless,” restating a point he had previously made in a social media post.”The First and Second Amendments guarantee freedom of speech and the right to bear arms,” states the petition that Musk is requesting signatures on. I affirm my support for the First and Second Amendments by signing below. The petition, which attendees of the event on Saturday were required to sign, helps America PAC collect contact information from more prospective voters so that it can mobilise them to support Trump in the polls.

According to federal disclosures, Musk—who Forbes lists as the richest person in the world—has contributed at least $75 million to America PAC thus far, making the organisation an essential component of Trump’s campaign to win back the White House. The businessman who founded SpaceX, a rocket and satellite company, and Tesla (TSLA.O), an automaker, has been openly supporting Trump this year and has been supporting Republican causes more and more.

In response, Trump declared that he would name Musk to lead a commission on government efficiency if elected.
