The Nigerian System Operator’s portal (niggrid.org) reported that the grid recorded zero Megawatts (MW) at 8:16 am today.
As of the time of this report, all 22 generation companies (GenCos) are experiencing downtime.
The power grid experienced two outages this week, bringing the total number of disruptions to eight in the current year.
The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has not yet provided an official statement regarding the recent power outage, leaving the cause of the blackout unknown to the public.
