In a session led by Rep. Bamidele Salam, the committee voiced significant concerns about reported revenue leakages and failure to follow standard operating procedures. Findings revealed that N909,392,169.74 had been transferred directly into private accounts at Deposit Money Banks, bypassing TSA protocols. The investigation also identified major discrepancies, including N15,476,269,397.10 in transactions recorded in Remita but missing from NUPRC’s data, and N6,332,212,384.25 in transactions found in NUPRC’s records that were absent from Remita.

The review further uncovered notable inconsistencies in transaction values between Remita and NUPRC, with N388,103,353.31 reported lower and N909,392,169.74 reported higher in Remita than in NUPRC’s records.

Following these revelations, the committee ordered NUPRC CEO, Engr. Gbenga Komolafe, and other officials to appear before them next Monday to address the identified violations.

These findings raise serious concerns over financial management and transparency at NUPRC, prompting the committee to call for a comprehensive investigation into these concerning irregularities.
