NYSC DG Urges Corps Members to Embrace New Environments

The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig.-Gen. Yusha’u Ahmed, has encouraged corps members to embrace their postings and view them as opportunities for personal growth and development.

During a visit to the NYSC temporary orientation camp in Kaduna, Ahmed advised corps members to adapt to their new environments and find a sense of belonging in their host communities. He emphasized the importance of being open to new experiences and challenges, as these can lead to significant personal and professional growth.

The NYSC DG also urged corps members to actively contribute to their host communities and to respect local cultures and traditions. He stressed the importance of personal security and advised corps members to avoid unauthorized night travel and other risky behaviors.

Furthermore, Ahmed encouraged corps members to take advantage of the NYSC’s skills acquisition and entrepreneurial development programs. He highlighted the government’s commitment to empowering young people and urged corps members to use the scheme as a platform to become self-reliant and job creators.
