On Monday, the Kano Pillars FC U-19 team was travelling to Jos for their U-19 Youth League matchday 5 match when they were involved in a traffic accident.

The driver and a number of the players were hurt and taken right away to the hospital for care.

“This incident deeply saddens us. The players and everyone impacted are in our prayers and thoughts. A club spokesperson stated, “The medical staff is making every effort to guarantee a prompt recovery for those who have been hurt.”

The bus swerved before stopping, according to witnesses. “It was terrifying. We were all afraid for the boys when the bus abruptly veered off the road. Fortunately, assistance came swiftly, and they were transported to the hospital,” remarked a bystander.The team promised the public and supporters that they would keep them informed as more details about the players’ health became available.”We are grateful for the tremendous support that fans and well-wishers have given us during this trying time. Our team’s recovery and safety are our top priorities,” the statement continued.The Kano Pillars U-19 vs. Plateau United U-19 U-19 U-19 Youth League game has been rescheduled for a later date.
