Amaka Sunnberger, a Nigerian woman who pledged in a viral video to “kpai” Nigerians of Yoruba and Benin origin, was taken into custody by police in Toronto, Canada.

She was apprehended on Sunday, September 1, 2024.

The police department released a statement indicating that the individual has been formally charged with the offense of uttering threats.

The scheduled court appearance is set to take place at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Monday, September 2nd, 2024, at 10:00 am in courtroom 107.

This investigation is being treated as a suspected h@t£-motivated offence.“
