It is indeed dark times in Ogun State as the state feels immensely unsafe. It is a known fact that the nation Nigeria is unsafe but the news of the Kidnap of a retired IG’s wife sends scary shills down people’s back.
The wife of a Assistant Inspector General was kidnapped. Shocking right! It is more scary that she was kidnapped from her residence.
The Ogun State Police Command Public Relations Officer Omolola Odutola confirmed the incident in Abeokuta, the state capital.
“The divisional police officer has led a team of officers to the scene, where they are currently searching the swampy bush area,” she said
“The Baale of Warewa and Maaba have been contacted to also deploy local security forces to the riverine area,” the police spokesperson added.
The kidnappers had the audacity to go into Mrs Odumosu compound at the early hours of today which is located at the Arepo area of Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of the state in a coordinated attack. They rushed into the residence shooting making the community tremble with fear.
She was dragged out into a jeep and taken to an unknown location.
