Chelsea striker Sam Kerr and her long-term partner Kristie Mewis have shared the exciting news that they are expecting a baby in 2025.
The couple shared the joyous news on Instagram with a heartwarming collection of photographs depicting them holding an image of Mewis’ scans.
The footballing pair were beaming with joy and exchanged a kiss as they shared the delightful news with their Instagram followers.
They captioned the post: ‘Mewis-Kerr baby coming 2025!’
The Australian striker, 31, was also seen in one of the pictures pointing to Mewis’ tummy with a huge smile on her face.
Mewis, 33, and Kerr have been together since 2021 and got engaged last year following weeks of speculation.
Kerr had been spotted on social media wearing a golden ring on her wedding finger in September 2023, with Mewis, who plays for West Ham and the United States national team, going on to reveal the news that the pair were engaged in November.
Speaking on her partner, Mewis told People Magazine: ‘She’s [Kerr] is my biggest supporter, always listening to me nag and complain, all of my crazy antics.’
It is my understanding that the couple first encountered each other while they were both actively participating in clubs within the National Women’s Soccer League in the United States during the year 2019.
