My constant smile, constant companion in prayer, constant cheerleader, constant counsellor, and best critic is me. She is someone I will always miss.

Let me reassure everyone that during her time with us, we will pursue everything she was passionate about. All of the projects she initiated, including the Golden Initiative for All (GIFA), will continue and grow.
The State apparatus will persist in operating without interruption as long as the Government remains cognisant of its obligations. Since Kemi has always prayed for this, we will not divert our attention from providing our people with renewed strength.
Permit me to express my gratitude to our security agencies for keeping the peace during this sombre occasion in our beloved State and my desire that they do more as we approach the local government elections. In order to ensure that his family’s privacy during “this moment of great loss, grief, and bereavement,” the governor asked for the public’s understanding and said that “burial arrangements will be made public at the appropriate time as we will not mourn as those who have no hope in Christ Jesus.”
