So about the rape cases…
Mbappe visited Stolchom on the 10th of October during an international break. He had decided to rest to recover from a thigh injury instead of playing for France in the National League. Two cases of sexual harassment and an alleged rape reportedly took place at a hotel.
Then a few days later, the Swedish media reported he was a subject of a rape investigation. Mbappe was named a suspect. What an horrifying turn of event!. From being a person on vacation to being a suspect.
Mbappe spoke up saying it was fake news. His management team categorically denied the report in their statement, “These accusations are completely false and irresponsible, and their propagation is unacceptable,” the statement said.
Although the prosecutor did not identify the suspect, Swedish Media reported it was Mbappe.
On Sunday, Mbappe spoke about the incident for the first time on an interview with Clique saying he wasn’t involved.
“These are things that come into your life like that, you can’t see them coming,” Mbappé told Canal Plus. “It’s just incomprehension. I don’t think it weighed on me, in the sense that I have never considered myself involved.”
In the statement released by investigator Marina Chirakova today. There was no evidence to continue the investigation.
“During the course of the investigation, there has been a designated person suspected on reasonable grounds of rape and two cases of sexual assault, but my assessment is that the evidence is not sufficient to proceed and the investigation is therefore closed,” Chirakova said. “The designated person has not been notified of suspicion of a crime.”
So about the rape case, the allegations has been dropped.
It was also suggested that Mbappe will not play in the upcoming La liga away game on December 14. This is due to the fact that Mbappe has injuries.
