Stephen Curry rewrote the record in the game played by Golden Warrior vs Philadelphia 76ers in San Francisco.
For the first time in the history of the league, Stephen made all eight points of his three point attempts as he finished with 30 points and 10 assists.
Stephen Curry is an American professional basketball player and point guard for the Golden Warrior. Stephen is a four time NBA champion, two timed NBA Most Valuable Player.
Stephen is a Dell Curry’s son; Dell Curry was also a basketball player. He is also the elder brother of Seth Curry. I think one would be right to say that basketball in the Curry family is by genetics.
“He deserves these nights,” Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said after the game. “I mean, everything he does for us and endures, it’s so fun to see him do this. Our fans and our coaches, we’re all spoiled watching him play night after night.
“We need to cherish these nights. He’s not going to be around forever. He is one of the most beautiful basketball players who’s ever lived, and we’re lucky to be watching him.”
It was revealed by Curry’s teammate that Curry sprained his thumb which restricted him from practicing with his right hand on Wednesday. To this, Curry gave this response:
“Sometimes, when you have a little injury or something that’s random, it kind of forces you to focus a little bit,” said Curry. “I didn’t get many attempts in the first half, but all four of them were really good, in-rhythm shots. And then from there you’re kind of just flowing off of the joy of things going our way.”
The win is really important to the team. They started the season 12-3 and lost 13 out of the 17 next games. They are now 17- 16 on the year.
The NBA record of nine-for-nine was set in 2003 by Latrell Sprewell, before it was matched by Ben Gordon – both in 2006 and 2012 – and by Jalen Brunson in 2023.
Jonathan Kuminga chipped in 20 points off the bench, while Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins and Dennis Schroder scored 15 apiece.
LeBron James scored 38 points with eight assists and Max Christie added a career-high 28 as the Los Angeles Lakers overcame the Portland Trail Blazers 114-106.
