President Tinubu is scheduled to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping to sign several Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) aimed at deepening cooperation in areas such as the green economy, agriculture, satellite technology development, media enterprise development and promotion, blue economic development, and national planning cooperation.
“This visit is part of a broader engagement where both heads of state will discuss matters of mutual interest, covering economic issues as well as national, regional, and international security,” Ngelale explained.
President Tinubu will also attend the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Summit, where he will join other African leaders in discussions with Chinese officials on key issues. As the Chairman of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, Tinubu will deliver remarks on behalf of the region and participate in a high-level plenary on peace and security, addressing these concerns both as the President of Nigeria and in his ECOWAS leadership role.
