Truck Accident In Lagos Claims Three Lives
Three persons lost their lives in an auto accident, as a result of a truck that reportedly suffered brake failure, and crashed into the Ayetoro Market in Lagos on Monday.
In a statement posted on its official X handle on Monday, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority said that the truck, which was coming down from Ita-Opo, lost its brakes and collided with a parked Toyota Camry and a commercial tricycle before crashing into the market.
The post said: “A truck descending from Ita-Opo had a fatal accident after its brakes failed. Before colliding with the Ayetoro Market/Complex, it struck a parked Toyota Camry and a commercial tricycle.
The remains of the three fatalities have been transported to Epe General Hospital’s mortuary. The impacted vehicles are being evacuated by a tow truck on the ground.To ensure smooth vehicle movement, traffic has been redirected.
